New Job, New Band, New Surgery?

It's been a hot minute. A lot has changed in my life the past few months, and I'm so excited to finally share the details with you. First of all...

  • I got a new job! My fall internship at Calvary Church in Walker went so so well, and it equipped me with some of the skills I'll be needing as I seek to serve God in vocational ministry. I have now been hired on as the Administrative Assistant at Prairie Community Church in Eden Prairie! If you're wondering what that means, I'm basically the fancy office lady who gets to learn everything about everything church-related and communicate it to everyone in the church in an efficient manner.

  • I joined a band! I am the new lead singer of Sawyer's Dream, an original folk rock band with a 70s inspired sound. Sawyer's Dream has a legacy of amazing live performances, and we'll be performing around the Twin Cities every weekend this summer!

  • I had a gallbladder removal surgery! Not quite as exciting, but I thought I'd include it since it's why I've been a ghost on social media lately. The surgery went very well, and I'm recovering slowly but surely (with the help of my very nice husband who has been so patient and lifts heavy things for me).

Thanks for letting me rant about my crazy few months, and feel free to let me know what's new with you these days!

Love,

Emily Jay
